Interesting Three Weeks Period For The Gunners - By Azana

Thank God the boring two months weeks of international football are finally over. I won’t even talk about the much hyped England v Spain game which the only surprise was the result. The rest even a four year old, who isn’t into football, could predict that Spain has Barca DNA and that England can hit the ball real hard.

There is every reason for any gunner to look forward to this weekend’s fixture. One thing could happen, Chelsea could lose to Liverpool and the gunners win, so that we could be one big happy family at no. 5 tying with 22 points each with spurs and Newcastle tying at 25 points just 3 points away assuming the latter loses to Manchester City.

What’s even  more interesting is the clash between Liverpool and Money city Man city next weekend. United would take Newcastle another interesting fixture. So the best case scenario for this fixture would be a draw for the money bags and Newcastle being hammered. As next weekend passes, it will see Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle sharing 25 points each with Liverpool playing a chasing game.

You must be wondering how the battle for a top four spot would be in the next three weeks would be but luckily for us Andre Villas-Boas’ boys men bunch of old guys will travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle before hosting Manchester City as their next game. After the Chelsea v Manchester City game the only thing standing between us and the two Manchester clubs should be Tottenham assuming that the red devils continue getting lucky. Looking at the Spurs fixtures, I think they will enjoy some time at the third spot before we rob it from them. That would mark the official race for the fourth spot for them and the rest.

As a gunner, I look forward to the coming four weeks with very high hopes and belief that what seemed to be fading light at the end of the tunnel is indeed sunlight shining on my forehead. Actually this season we have a good chance of finishing second. We should not think of the title for now thanks to Manchester City who knows what they will do in January with their Arab money, I will be more surprised if Jack Wilshere tweets how much he loves Arsenal than I will be if City buys Christiano Ronaldo and Messi. Maybe am being too optimistic but as the saying goes it doesn’t take the whole day to recognize sunshine. So C’MON YOU GUUUUUNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRS!!!!
